Sfera” suspension lamp designed by Tobia Scarpa for Flos.
In the same series, there’s another model called Bilobo.
This blown Murano glass globe is a blend of several techniques. Pulegoso », a mixture of molten glass and sodium bicarbonate. The latter decomposes with heat, creating air bubbles in the material. The second involves the incorporation of silica and metal shavings.
