Little Sothis

Suspension lamp by Sothis, designed by Ettore Fantasia and Gino Poli, circa 1970. Made of Murano blown glass. Italian workmanship.
The technique used here is called “Pulegoso”, a mixture of molten glass and sodium bicarbonate. The latter decomposes with heat, creating air bubbles in the material.
